Clément Vidal studied philosophy at the Université Paris I-Panthéon-Sorbonne, where he wrote a thesis on the notion of infinity in 2003. In 2004 he did an additional masters in mathematical logic. In 2005 he finished another masters in cognitive science, with a thesis on the "global brain" emerging from the Internet. Since 2001 he has been webmaster of the site philosophons.com, which supports the writing and discussion of philosophical topics.
